Hi, I won't be able to make it for the meeting, but I have some ideas.

The major problem I have with the intersection is the amount of things happening on/below the overpass. People are trying to merge and have troubles getting on and off safely. Often times traffic is busy at the overpass so driver's who are not comfortable, stop on the on/off ramps.

If you designed it so drivers get into the exit lane before the overpass, and mergers came onto the main road after the overpass it would make the overpass much safer. I've attached a plan showing what I was thinking. I've only done one direction, but if it was applied to all four directions, it would potentially make for a safer interchange. Drivers exiting would have time to slow down, and drivers entering the road would have time to speed up before entering the road.

If you have any questions I'd be happy to explain better.

It's hard to tell from the drawings but I assume there will be long merge lanes for traffic coming off a loop and joining into the highway traffic?
