The City of Saskatoon has identified the need to improve cycling as a part of a larger strategy to increase the attractiveness of and access to the downtown for residents, visitors, businesses, employers and their employees. A protected bike lane demonstration project has been proposed to help achieve this goal.

On October 21 we hosted two Open Houses inviting everyone to learn more and provide feedback about the proposed 18-month demonstration project. If approved, the demonstration is scheduled to begin May 2015. Thanks to everyone who was able to attend these events.

We appreciate your time and input. Feedback gathered at these events, through this online forum and survey, and through ongoing meetings with stakeholder groups such as the business community and cycling stakeholders will be used to finalize proposed concept plans for design and location of the protected bike lane demonstration project in downtown Saskatoon.
