A Public Open House to discuss the proposed recommendations from the draft Comprehensive Downtown Parking Strategy was held on Monday, March 7, 2016 at TCU Place.

The purpose of the Comprehensive Downtown Parking Strategy is to develop a long-term plan that will provide for an appropriate supply of parking in the Downtown and adjacent commercial areas of Broadway Avenue and Riversdale.

 Draft Comprehensive Downtown Parking Strategy

The City of Saskatoon, along with consulting team led by BA Group and CIMA+ Engineering, have completed the draft of the Comprehensive Downtown Parking Strategy.  The strategy was developed based on input from the community, a thorough examination of our parking conditions and an understanding of our future parking needs.

Before the strategy is finalized, the project team would like to present the key recommendations and ask for your input on the proposed directions.  City staff and the lead consultant will be available discuss the proposed strategy and to gather your thoughts on the proposed recommendations.

Your input is important and will help us to prepare the parking plan that will support Saskatoon’s Downtown and key corridors as we grow to a population of 500,000.

We Need Your Input!

We have presented some key recommendations to address our parking needs now and into the future. We would appreciate your input on these proposed directions.

Please complete the survey on the back of this page and leave it with us. We would also like to hear your thoughts tonight at the Open House. You may also email any comments to:  parking.study@saskatoon.ca

Your input is important and will help refine our Parking Strategy and develop the action plan that will lead to adjustments to the parking system in the short-term. Your input will also help establish a long-term plan to guide parking in the Downtown and surrounding areas, as we grow to a population of 500,000.

Thank you for participating in this important study.
